Perseverance Play Readers

A play-reading book club series from Perseverance Theatre and the Friends of the Juneau Public Library!

Love theatre? Come read plays with us!

Join us on the third Tuesday of every month from 5:30pm–7:45pm in the Douglas Library Conference Room for an evening of reading aloud, conversation, laughter, and great storytelling. Sessions run August-November and January-April.

Whether you’re a teen discovering your love of theatre, an adult who can’t get enough of the stage, or an actor who keeps saying they’re finally going to read more plays this year (we see you), this club is for you. No memorization, auditions, or stage fright required, just curiosity, community, and a shared love of live storytelling.

Digital copies of each play are provided. Bring a snack to share and settle in for a fun, low-pressure evening with fellow theatre lovers.

Follow our social media for updates on upcoming readings and schedule changes. Questions about what we’re reading next or age recommendations? Reach out to Kylie Ferguson at Kferguson@ptalaska.org.

Be sure to sign up for the Perseverance Theatre Play Readers email list to stay up to date on upcoming titles, schedule changes, and more.
